Parents

At Ryhall CE Academy we are committed to working in close partnership with parents to ensure they are happy with their child's education and progress. We believe it is important that parents are involved in their child's education and we actively encourage parents involvement in the school, wherever possible.

We appreciate that we are currently continuing to experience challenging times - on personal levels and as a community.  COVID-19 is something we have no prior experience of and it relies on us working together.  Please see below the school's COVID-19 RISK ASSESSMENT.  This is under constant revision (most recently revised 16.03.2022).  Please don't hesitate to get in contact if you have any questions or concerns in this regard.

On this page, you will also see one document with links to support remote learning as well as one further document outlining our 'Remote Learning Plan'.

We communicate with parents through three key channels:

  •  'SIMSLite' (hard copy formal where parents are unable to access this) - this is generally used for letters to parents including the termly newsletter to parents

  •  Class Dojo: this is the communication channel with your child's class teacher  - they will post reminders and learning updates

  • SeeSaw: here you will find access to your child's tasks for their home learning. You will also be able to view class work which has been uploaded to individual subject files

We welcome parents (and grandparents) as members of our 'parent reading army', listening to children read and supporting our commitment to 'foster a love of reading'. We also invite you to support our extra-curricular programme as a volunteer.  Please note that Ryhall CE Academy is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people, and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment - all adults working with children are subject to identity checks as well as checks through the Disclosure and Barring Service.  Thank you for your cooperation in this regard.

The links on the left-hand side of this page hopefully gives our parents all the information they need as they join the school, as well as reminders as necessary. If you are a parent and have suggestions for this page, please do get in touch with us.
