Woolsthorpe Class - Year 4
WELCOME TO WOOLSTHORPE CLASS
We’re excited to welcome you and your child to Year 4 at Ryhall CE Academy. Our aim is to create a happy and supportive learning environment where every child can grow in confidence and enjoy their learning journey.
Meet the Team
- Class Teacher: Mrs Hicks
- Art and Design Technology and Modern Foreign Languages : Mrs Want
- Music: Mrs Chapman
Mrs. Szyzska and Mrs. Chapman also cover PPA time each week on a Tuesday, bringing creativity and new skills to the classroom through their specialist subjects.
PE Days
PE takes place on Wednesday and Friday. Please make sure your child comes to school in their PE kit on these days so they’re ready to take part.
Curriculum and Learning
Throughout the year, we’ll explore a wide range of topics to inspire curiosity and deepen understanding. Knowledge organisers and curriculum updates will be shared via Class Dojo to keep you informed about what we’re learning.
Supporting Learning at Home
- Reading: Regular reading helps build comprehension and vocabulary. We encourage children to read as often as they can.
- Times Tables: Practicing times tables at home supports maths learning in class and getting Year 4 children ready for their Multiplication Tables Check (MTC) in June.
Communication
We value working closely with parents to support children’s learning. If you have any questions or need to get in touch, please contact Mrs Hicks at c.hicks@ryhall.pdet.org.uk.
We look forward to a fantastic year together in Woolsthorpe Class, full of learning, growth and memorable moments. Thank you for your support!
