Burghley (Yr 3)
WELCOME TO BURGHLEY CLASS
I'm delighted to have become the new class teacher for Burghley Class in August 2020. We have lots of exciting learning planned for the year, starting off with our theme of 'Digging up the past' in Autumn Term 1 where we delve back in time to the prehistoric era - you can find out more in the theme plan found below.
As the children move in to Key Stage Two you may find a few changes but I hope that together, we will soon all be up to speed. Children will start using Accelerated Reader in Autumn Term 1 and accessing the range of readers in Key Stage Two. During the school day, the children will get opportunities to participate in the associated book quizzes and I'll be keeping a close eye on their points and reader levels. I look forward to giving out the first certificates.
During the week, Burghley Class will also be taught by Miss Cummings - she will teach Art/DT, Computing, RE and Handwriting as well as leading the class through their Cracking Times Tables. Mrs Evans is also supporting our class for 24 hours of the school week - she also looks forward to getting to know the children.
At the bottom of this page you can find some useful documentation for all parents/children which is particularly useful at this current time.
