Burghley (Yr 3)
WELCOME TO SUMMER TERM IN BURGHLEY CLASS
I can't quite believe we're in the final term - Summer Term 6! It was wonderful to end Term 5 with Memory Making Week - you really deserved this Burghley Class. You have continued to show me just how resilient you are - I'm hoping that you will return with the same fantastic attitude to your learning for our final term together.
I am delighted to see that some of you have kept up with using Accelerated Reader during the very sunny holiday period and maybe I'll be giving out more certificates when we return. Don't forget that you can do quizzes online at home once a reading book is finished - it is important that these are done independently and I look forward to seeing your continued progress through Summer Term 6.
I will continue to make Knowledge Organisers available via Dojo for your reference - please look out for these at the start of the term. Parents, please do encourage your child to regularly review these at home - it is important that they all learn and understand this knowledge and have further opportunity to discuss it with you at home as will help them to be able to verbalise the knowledge they are learning in class and remotely.
As always, I will continue to keep parents up to date with our learning developments and give out general messages and reminders out on Class Dojo on a daily basis, so do remember to turn on your notifications and continue to check in frequently. As we did in the previous term, home learning is scheduled to complement what we do in school (i.e. homework) - this will be available on SeeSaw - please do let me know if you have any connectivity issues with this and I will do my best to resolve any problems (I'm sure that we're all a whizz on this by now!). It will help me enormously if you could continue to upload your child's independent work by any weekly deadlines (or as soon as complete would be even better).
In order to see what we're covering in Term 6, take a look at the Medium Term Theme Plan for Parents below.
If you have any problems at all, please get in touch: email@example.com
I look forward to continuing working with you and your child/children.
