NEW RECEPTION 2022
We want to wish a very warm welcome to Ryhall CE Academy to all of our new families. This page is just for you and we hope you will find it really useful!
We now have confirmation of your acceptance of places and you should have received all of your paperwork for your child to join us at the start of the new academic year. We hope your child enjoyed their transition event - we're now very much looking forward to meeting with you and your child and helping you to quickly feel part of the Ryhall CE Academy family. Do scroll down to the bottom of the page to find a transition journal for your child that you may wish to use with them over this summer period as the time draws closer to their start with us.
Should you have any particular questions before then you can contact either Mrs Carlton, our Reception Class teacher, directly by emailing: firstname.lastname@example.org or myself, Ms Walker, at: email@example.com
Hopefully, you have received all the necessary details about the starting school procedures, staff, environment, curriculum and much, much more - but do contact is us if you have any further questions. Also, you can read further detail about the approach to curriculum design in Early Years in the Class Pages section of the website (see Belvoir Class - the name for our Reception Class).
Don't forget that you can also head over to our Facebook page @ryhallceacademy where you can catch up with all the latest news and achievements as well as what's coming up. Once your child officially joins us (at the start of the new academic year), you will also be invited to join the closed PTFA facebook page for our Friends of Ryhall Academy (FORA). They plan a number of fabulous events throughout the year - all to raise funds for the school. Have a look at their valuable work on their dedicated page under 'Our Community'. If you would like to be helping out beforehand, you can always become a 'supporter' of our dedicated fundraising page through 'easy fundraising' - this page can be used when online shopping, buying insurance or a much-needed holiday - a percentage of which then comes back in to the school. It's that easy and absolutely at no cost to you whatsoever. Have a look now: https://www.easyfundraising.org.uk/causes/ryhallptfa/ (click the link). You should have received your letter regarding their invitation to you on the first morning of your child starting school (but if not, please see letters below).
If you're now wanting to book Wrap Around Care (before and after school care) for your child for the start of the term, please see the letter below from Premier Sport and/or head to our Wrap Around Care page under the 'Parents' tab above.
Please do take the time to familiarise yourselves with all aspects of this school website. Our 'Pupil Voice' groups are particularly keen for you to look at their pages. The Junior Travel Ambassadors (JTAs) have asked that you look specifically at their page to see how you can plan for your child's journey to school from the start, making it as active and sustainable as possible. They can be found under 'Pupils / Pupil Voice Groups / Junior Travel Ambassadors'. On their page you will find an image of the 5-minute walking bubble (you will find a pledge for this in your welcome pack) and our School Travel Policy that we ask you to support us with. All other policies for the school can be found under 'Our School / Policies'. Thank you for taking the time.
Mrs Carlton and Mrs Ketteringham have prepared a storytime just for your child. Get yourselves comfy with your favourite teddy and snuggle up to get yourselves warm.
