We are seeking an inspiring, talented and dynamic senior leader who is ready to take their next step in their leadership career in a successful, creative school with a dedicated team of colleagues.

As Principal, you will have day-to-day oversight of the leadership and management of the school. You will be able to inspire and motivate staff to share the ambitions and high expectations for the school and will be able to work in partnership with parents and children to ensure the school serves its community.  You will support and promote the vision and direction of the school enabling it to build on its successes, fully supported by a Regional Principal.

Ryhall CE Primary School takes pride in nurturing ‘the whole child’ and strives to meet the needs of each individual child. Children feel cared for and supported on their learning journey. Following a successful Ofsted inspection in February 2023, the school received a ‘Good’ judgement. Inspectors noted that pupils engage fully in lessons and demonstrate positive attitudes to their learning; that they understand what it means to be resilient and actively help each other in lessons; and that pupils are happy and proud of their school.

Ryhall is proud to be a member of Peterborough Diocese Education Trust (PDET), a forwarding thinking academy trust which is fully committed to the ‘flourishing of all’. The Trust regards developing people as a key priority in order to achieve educational excellence and hence, invests in people to develop their individual skills and talents.  Ryhall has a wonderfully positive working environment; all members of staff are appreciated and valued for the part they play in a highly effective team.

The successful candidate will be someone who:

  • has recent, successful middle / senior leadership experience looking for an opportunity to take the next step in their leadership career

  • shows excellence in teaching and learning

  • has the skills to lead, improve and sustain achievement for all children

  • is willing to embrace and promote the Christian ethos of the school

  • has a flexible approach to working

  • is driven, ambitious and enthusiastic.

In return, we can offer you:

  • enthusiastic and motivated learners who care for each other and are proud of their school

  • a high quality, committed and friendly staff team who are passionate about ‘making a difference’

  • a school that is highly committed to serving its community

  • a large trust, spanning Northamptonshire, Rutland and Peterborough, that is highly committed to your professional development and provides access to a range of developmental and career opportunities
