Clerk to the Local Governing Board
(known as Academy Governance Committee – a committee of the Peterborough Diocese Education Trust Board)
Part-time; 6 x Full Governing Body meetings per academic year.
£14.00 per hour.
We are a Church of England Academy, part of the Peterborough Diocese Multi-Academy Trust PDET. The school has highly supportive parents and a very proactive governing body and we are looking to appoint another team member who is committed to high quality provision within this context. In September 2017 we were graded as a ‘good’ school. We would welcome the advice and support of an experienced Clerk to help us in our journey to outstanding. The successful candidate will:
Provide professional advice to the governing body on governance, constitutional and procedural matters.
Provide effective administrative support to the governing body including minute taking and convening meetings.
Ensure the governing body is properly constituted in accordance with the Trust Terms of Reference.
Manage all governing body information effectively in accordance with legal requirements.
The successful candidate should be competent in the use of Microsoft Office and e-mail.
The successful candidate would need to be available to minute meetings (6 per academic year) which are usually held during the late afternoon/early evening and to undertake the organisation of these meetings (approx. 6 hours in total).
