Welcome

Welcome to Ryhall Church of England Academy

‘My school is special because it makes me feel like my voice is heard and has worth.’ '
 OfSTED Inspection, February 2023.

On behalf of the staff, children and governors, thank you for taking the time to visit our site. We are really proud of our school - through our website we aim to give you information about the school and the community it serves. If, however, you cannot find the information you are looking for, please do not hesitate to contact us.  Tours around the school are always welcomed to see our wonderful school in action.

Our aim is to develop the whole child, emotionally, intellectually, physically, academically and spiritually. We want our children to look back with pride and move forward with confidence.

We live to a clear set of Christian Values; compassion, friendship, hope, respect, perseverance and trust, together with the character value of resilience. The children describe Ryhall CE Academy as their ‘Friend Ship’, a place where all are respected and valued for their individuality. We have recently (2023) been graded as 'Good' in all areas in our OfSTED report (please refer to the OfSTED page on the website for more information.) In November 2016 we were judged as an 'OUTSTANDING' Church of England School (SIAMS Inspection - please see full report in our Christian Distinctiveness page link to the left).

We have 204 children on roll and we are a small enough to know your child really well, yet big enough to be able to participate in some of the large events that really help to build your child's character. We are tucked away in the beautiful village of Ryhall, and we have the most wonderful facilities to support our curriculum.  In our extensive outdoor area we have a beautiful wildlife garden that hosts our bird watching observatory, mini beast hotels, and reflection space, a trim-trail, games pitch, outdoor stage and vegetable gardens.  Our church is St. John’s Church in Ryhall and we are visited by the Rev. Jo Saunders each week when she leads our assembly.

We are very proud of the children and staff here at Ryhall Academy.  The staff team is highly professional and works very hard to build lifelong experiences and memories for all of our children.  We value the fact that we are well-supported by parents, including our fantastic Friends of Ryhall Academy (FORA). We pride ourselves on high standards of teaching and learning, pupil welfare and behaviour and achievement. Children enjoy coming to school and we continue to hold an excellent attendance rate. If you would like to know what our parents say about us, please look at the report of this year's survey which can be found in the 'Parent Voice' section under 'Parents'.

Thank you again.

PDET Multi-Academy Trust

A cord of three strands is not easily broken.’ (Ecclesiastes 4:9-12)

We belong to the Peterborough Diocese Education Trust (PDET), a multi-academy trust formed by the Peterborough Diocese Board of Education.

‘Our family of schools seek to serve their local communities; they are inclusive welcoming children of the Christian Faith of other faiths or of no faith, children from all backgrounds and of all abilities. We believe in the infinite worth of each person: children deserve the very best education and staff merit support to deliver this. Although the multi-academy trust was formed initially to support church schools, PDET is happy to work with any community school that shares our values.’
